In 1927 Kristian and Frode W. Lorentsen, son of Frederik, inherited the smithy.
The brothers developed the company from a smithy to being a production company. Simultaneous with the smithy jobs, they started producing a various amount of farming machinery. Machines including potato planters/harvester, harrows´ and many others.
In 1964 the current fabrics buildings of 1200 m2 were getting too small. Therefore, OMMELIFT build a new factory of 3.000 m2 outside of town. In 1965, they finished the factory, and the production was moved. It is the exact same location as today.
